Frequently Asked Questions
Here you will find answers to some common questions about dog walking, boarding, and cat sitting in Notting Hill, Bayswater, and Kensington.
Which areas do you cover for dog walking and pet care?
I do regular walks for dogs in Notting Hill, Bayswater, and Kensington, with all walks taking place in Kensington Gardens.
Pet sitting services are available in Notting Hill, Bayswater, and Kensington.
For dog boarding, we welcome dogs from all over London to our home in Ealing. If you’re unsure whether I cover your area, just get in touch!
Do you transport the dogs by car, or are all walks on foot?
All dog walks are on foot – no stressful car rides or crates involved. We walk to Kensington Gardens from your door, keeping things simple, natural, and stress-free.
Dogs staying with us for boarding enjoy walks in our local parks in Ealing.
Do I need to provide anything for my dog's walks?
The only thing you need to provide is your dog and a short lead – I’ve got the rest covered! I bring balls, treats, poo bags, and everything else needed for a great walk. However, if your dog has specific preferences or dietary needs (like certain treats), feel free to let me know so I can make sure I have suitable treats for them, or you’re welcome to provide their own if you prefer.
My pet has a medical condition/special needs. Would you still take them?
Absolutely! Your dog will be welcome to join our pack regardless. However, it’s really important that I know all the details so I can provide the best possible care and keep your dog safe and comfortable. I can also administer medications if needed, just let me know what your dog requires, and we’ll make sure they’re well looked after.
How can I be sure my dog is getting along with the rest of the pack?
I assess each dog’s personality to ensure good group dynamics. Walk groups are small (maximum 4 dogs), so it’s easy to manage interactions and make sure everyone is comfortable. I always watch their body language to ensure positive experiences. If I ever notice any issues, I’ll let you know right away and work on a solution. You’ll also receive weekly photos and videos from walks so you can see for yourself how your dog is doing.
Will my dog get along with the other dogs you're boarding?
I always require a meet and greet before a dog boarding stay. This lets me get to know your dog, understand their personality and needs, and make sure they’ll be comfortable in our home. It also gives your dog a chance to meet me! We are very careful about which dogs we board together and only accept dogs we’re confident will settle in happily and get along well. Your dog’s safety and comfort are our top priorities.
How many dogs do you board at once?
We only board 2-3 dogs maximum at any time, so it never feels overcrowded. Every dog has their own space, comfortable beds, and plenty of attention. My partner works from home, so there’s always someone around for company, cuddles, and keeping an eye on things while I’m out doing walks. And of course, Sammy’s there to keep everyone in line and make sure no one gets into too much trouble!
Are you insured and DBS checked?
Yes! I’m fully insured for dog walking, boarding, and pet sitting. My insurance includes Public Liability, Accidents and Injuries to Animals, Loss of Animal, Loss of Keys, and more. I’m also DBS checked for your peace of mind.
What happens if there's bad weather?
I walk dogs in most weather conditions – a bit of rain never hurt anyone! However, your dog’s safety and comfort always come first. In extreme weather (heavy storms, winds, or other dangerous conditions), we’ll decide together what’s best for your dog. I’ll always keep you informed if any changes are needed.
Do you offer one-off walks or is it regular clients only?
I do offer one-off walks, but regular clients have priority. This means regular walkers (Monday through Friday) benefit from discounted rates on dog walks and can rest assured they have a guaranteed spot in their preferred group. One-off walks are available depending on availability, so it’s best to get in touch in advance to check if I have space.
